Tell us a little about your home? The quintessential restored Portland bungalow has been a restoration since we purchased it in September of 2022. It is located in the quaint urban village of Piedmont with easy access to other popular neighborhoods like Alberta, Humboldt, Arbor Lodge, and Kenton. Britta and I are business partners and Realtors. The restoration of this house is a reflection of each of our own individual tastes and experiences with home remodeling. All I want to do is hang out in the warm and woodsy vibe of the upstairs primary bedroom. It’s so cosy. The eat-in nook is also a real showstopper. Our Bungalow has a small dining room, BUT the kitchen nook is really after my heart.

What is your favorite room and why? I love the primary bedroom, second to the nook, and third to the bathroom simply because all I want to do is stare at the hand-painted transition free from original fir floors to Pratt & Larsen tiles while my feet warm up in from the radiant heat the incredible Schluter®-DITRA-HEAT.

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? (Include links if you have them!): We used a Piatto Venitian plaster tented to BM White Dove with white sparkles for the hood and fireplace. We bought the product at Brush and Trowel

Any advice for creating a home you love? The more organized you can be with your vision in the decision making process the better, but the real secret for me is holding that space while being open to spontaneous and beautiful changes as shapes take form.
